Teal String and Glue Dots

Tomorrow is the big day! well, one of many. Tomorrow I'm sending out my wedding invitations!! YAAAAAY! it's going to be such a great feeling to know they are completely done. ah. I can't even begin to tell you what all went in to creating and designing these. But I'll try! The antique gold pocket folds came from Cards and Pockets, the teal layer paper inside came from Michael's (on clearance, SCORE!!), and all the printing and cutting was done at R&R Printing and Reproduction in Abilene, TX. I can't say enough good things about that print shop. We're on a first name basis :) I absolutely LOVE them. They've been my go-to source all throughout college and who knew they'd be helping with my wedding invitations! So, i'd highly recommend them for printing! :)

I made one of the inserts in the pocketfold dedicated to our new address. I don't know if that's traditional or not, but i thought it'd be perfect in the invitations, plus, i wanted an excuse to include a wallet-sized print of one of Joel and I's engagement pictures! Just a little some'n some'n for our guests! They were printed by Mpix on metallic photo paper.

The beautiful monogram tags were created by Carrie who owns and runs an amazing invitation company called The Event Messenger! I'd also highly recommend her for your big day :) She also made the awesome suggestion about using the teal string on the outside of the pocketfold. Heck yes!!

I must say, i hired an amazing calligrapher for this ordeal; my mom! We were going to tackle addressing envelopes together, but once i saw her beautiful penmanship, i hired her on the spot!! haha, thanks mom!! They look great!!

This evening, one of my best friends and bridesmaids, Tab, helped me stuff envelopes while I wrapped them in string! yay! it was so nice to have the help :)

enough chat, take a look and let me know what you think! :)

i regret not counting the hours put into this project. but i must say, it was completely worth it :)
