he entire weekend was forecast to rain, but it seemed to hold off in all the right places! AMEN!! For Kara and Matt's wedding, it didn't rain until directly afterwards, in which, by that point, everything was indoors :) This wedding was the very first to christen the aisle of the Stevenson Ridge Lodge in Spotsylvania, VA, and I was so honored to be the first photographer to shoot in there! WOOOO!! The Lodge is a new facility on the Stevenson Ridge grounds, built specifically with weddings in mind. And let me tell you firsthand...it...is....gorgeous!! I loved all the exposed beams, wood floors, the fireplace down the aisle, and all the open space to celebrate! You'll just have to see for yourself :)
I wasn't surprised by any stretch of the imagination that Kara had an ear to ear smile plastered on her face all day long :) I adore her smile and her laugh SO MUCH! I just enjoyed watching her relish in her wedding day, surround by all her favorite people :) Now Matt, he looked so dapper in his suit! The color combo with that awesome tie just made me so happy!
Kara and Matt, congratulations on becoming Mr. & Mrs.!! I hope these photos bring back lots of happy emotions for you guys as you relive your wedding day! Enjoy! :)
Look at these hot pink shoes!! AHHH!!
Kara and Matt opted to do a first sight before the ceremony, and I'm SO glad they did! It rained...scratch that...it POURED directly after the ceremony so it worked out perfectly to do their portraits beforehand!
LOVE the boldness of this color combination on Matt!
A little lodge love :)
